cabbage salad with asian dressing
veggie tray & dip
corn on the cob
cheese & fruit tray
The highlight is the pork so stick with simple, light flavours that don't detract from the main focus.
I would also stick with an asian theme as it brings all our flavours together and makes it a real experience rather then just a blob of food on a plate LOL
The caramel cake sounds delicious and really is a nice sweet end to the typical sweet, sour asian flavours.
As for sides my suggestions would be light, delicate flavour salads such as
Asian style slaw with soy & chilli dressing ~ www.taste.com.au
Asian Carrot & Sprout Salad
Asian Greens with Chicken & Crispy Noodle Salad
Also rice of some sort is an obvious addition ~ enjoy the bday - they grow-up so fast :)
