My friend is having a birthday party. ANY IDEAS ON WHAT TO DO?!

Question: My friend is having a birthday party. ANY IDEAS ON WHAT TO DO?
She's turning 12 (most of her friends are 12 too), and we dont know what to do, She was gonnna have a skating party, but some people think its a little childish. And most of the girls and boys just hang out, so if we go bowling, no ones gonna actually bowl. And she's inviting boys and girls, about 17 people shes inviting. So any ideas on what to do that would be fun and not "childish"?

have a murder mystery party - there really fun
or just have lke a gaming / dancing party with wii and dance dance revolution and stuff like that.
or a water balloon toss and fair / festival games outside.
or a card game party lke with uno , poker , BS , baseball , etc.
or if the guuests just lke to 'hang out' and 'chill', then have it where veery1 brings a movie and u can vote on what u want to watch and have snacks and just hang out. then open gifts and cake.

Why don't y'all have them over to y'alls house and order food? Then someone can go pick the food up or you could have it delivered....whichever. Kids love music and video games....like the wii. Try that. Do y'all have a pool? They could swim....but I know that most of the time kids just stand around the pool and talk. I'm 18, I know! lol.
Get some chips and dip....a lot! Hot dogs.....really anything sweet or have a barbecue!

you could take her and like three of her freinds on a shopping spree and afterwards through a party at home n play music and have a dance off

Bike
Karaoke
Barbecue
Hot Pot (if it's winter)
Play some group games eg twister, cards, truth or dare
