Question: I need some ideas on a diaper party for my sister. She doesn't know what she is having so a diaper party....?
I've only been to a diaper party for men and they have all been parties basically. So any ideas I could get for games and decorations are greatly appreciated.

Answers:

A perfect (and useful) decoration---centerpiece--is to make a Diaper Cake...here's how to do it (and you can be as creative as you want with this)>>>http://www.inexpensivebabyshower.com/bab…

Note also as you scroll down to the end, there's an idea of how to make washcloth lollipops, too, to add to the decor.

You can string up diapers on a clothesline with cute clothespins and tape a letter on each one to make a banner to say whatever you want.

A favorite of diaper shower games is the poopy diaper baby shower game. Before the shower, purchase as many individual kinds of (easily melted) candy bars as you can find. Shortly before the shower, melt each one and dump it into its own diaper and then close it. The rules of the game are that each guest has to sniff the diaper and make a guess as to what kind of candy bar is inside. Be sure that one of the hostesses has a camera to snap pictures of the players while there are putting their noses in the diapers to make their guesses. The resulting pictures can be pretty funny!

Another one is to take small triangles of cloth and a small safety pin for each guest. On however many you choose to do....put a smear of peanut butter into them. As each guest arrives, you pin a 'diaper' on them (they are not to look!)... those who have the 'dirty diapers" will win the door prizes when you tell them to check their diaper.

Serve nuts and mints in their very own diaper. Simply fold small paper napkins into a diaper shape, securing with small diaper pins.

Party favors:
Wrap bars of scented soap in their own little diapers. Create the diapers by folding sheets of pastel paper, taping the paper on the inside.

THE DIAPER-WRITING GAME:

Playing the game:
The hostess will distribute one or two diapers and a permanent marker to each guest. Guests are asked to personalize the diapers by writing little messages on the diaper. The hostess can give examples of cute messages which could be written. Of course guests can draw pictures or symbols instead of slogans. Once everyone has completed their masterpieces, each guest is asked to present their diapers to the group. Winning entries can be chosen by the group.

Game preparation:
The diaper writing game requires little preparation. The hostess will need one or two diapers for each of the guests. Since parents will not want to store the diapers for long, we suggest purchasing Preemie diapers which can be used soon after the baby's birth .

You'll also need permanent marker pens. Pens can be shared by multiple guests so you need not get one per guest. Having pens in many colors will add to this baby shower game.

The hostess may want to give examples of slogans one can write on a diaper. Some examples include:

* Special delivery!
* I pooped!
* Daddy's turn
* This one stinks!
* I've slept for 12 hours, how about you!
* Supersized!

It will be interesting to see what slogans/designs guests come up with....and this idea will make the new Mommy smile when she goes to use them for the baby ;).
