what do i need to do to hold a really good house party?!
like one that everyone will be talking about and not like a boring party where everyone cant wait to leave. anybody have any tips? been to any amazing parties and what happened to make it really good?

My favorite trick is to make serveral strategically placed "stations" for food and drink. The idea is to force people to move around the room to get a drink, move again to get one kind of food, again for another, again for dessert and so on.
If it's not too corny, you could also do a theme. I've held hat parties. Everyone is required to wear a hat, which leads to a lot of fun "nice to meet you" conversation.
