Need ideas for Mad Hatter tea party...?!

Question: Need ideas for Mad Hatter tea party...?
I'm having a Mad Hatter's teap party for my daughter's birthday and I need a few food ideas. The party is around lunch time and I'm already planning on serving tea sandwiches. I am NOT looking for anymore desserts. We are going to have plenty! I just need some ideas for things to go with the sandwiches. Thanks in advance!

Answers:

I just hosted a tea party last weekend! For savouries I served cucumber sandwiches, mock chicken scrolls (basically a tomato, cheese and onion spread on bread then rolled up to make them look nice - email me if you want the recipe), individual quiches (make the night before and heat up for 5 mins on the day), and fish fingers (homemade of course with some lemon on the side).

If you need it specifically themed then you could call them;
- Cheshire Cat's Disappearing Fish Fingers
- Caterpilla Cucumber Sandwiches
- Red & White Rose Scrolls (the 'mock chicken' is an orange colour but you could add some red food colouring)
- Doorknob noses (for the quiche)

use unmatched cups and saucers. Feistaware is is good for being colorful and strong. Add food coloring for all drinks and foods- green cupcakes or blue cookies, even black for dips. Wear unusual clothing and jewelry. Make sure the very, merry un-birthday party is merry! Color sugar cubes. Magic rocks make good centerpieces, Just make sure everything is mad!

Imagination

You can add fruits and/or vegetables or cheese and crackers. Chips and dip are party favorites too!
