Can you use tarot cards or does it have to be the crystal ball? If you can use Tarot cards then they actually give you specific things which you can then use your imagination to embellish details about. Get a pack and read up what each card means and start getting some ideas about how that could relate to real life people!
If it is a crystal ball then it would rely on your imagination a lot more. Look at the people who are coming to have their fortune told. What are they wearing? How do they look? What does their speech and posture tell you about them? What do their hands look like? All these things give you a good idea about the persons likes/dislikes and interests. Use this to help your imagination come up with some good 'futures'!
