HALLOWEEN PARTY! HELP?!?!?!

Question: HALLOWEEN PARTY! HELP?!?!?
Ideas for my Halloween party? 13-14 year old girls! Should I invite guys?? I'm gonna have a bonfire! It's gonna be like in my garage and yard. (I have a really big and nice yard!) Should we roast hot dogs? Or have pizza? What other foods should we have? Decorations? Games? We'll have a hayride around my neighborhood.

Guys? Should I invite them? And how do I explain it to my parents? They're kinda weird about it....

Answers:

Here's what I can help you with:
1) The Boys: Do you have a Boyfriend? Do you a close relationship with any of the boys? If so, talk to your parents about it. Say something like: "Mom I know you aren't happy about having boys around, but my friends and I are totally behaved and we aren't going to goof off." If there isn't a close relationship with them, then don't invite them.
2) Bonfire: Great idea!!! My suggestion is s'mores. You mentioned hot dogs: that's hard to decide if you should get them. Talk to your guests about the idea of hot dogs. If the majority likes the idea, then go for it.
3) Pizza is a great idea for those who don't like hot dogs.
4) You can find in any dollar store or even Marcs Halloween confetti. Sprinkle that on the tables for some flair. Buy cheap paper mache in halloween colors to string from you garage, porch, etc.
5) Bob for apples, may be a little kiddish, but it will be fun. (especially if boys come.)

Yes you should let her have guys come over. Make sure they have music, keep it to the radio in case a parent doesn't approve of a certain kind of music, and have fun halloween themed snacks. Check in on them every half an hour or so but don't hover, that won't go over well. Maybe rent a scary movie like the exorcist or halloween for the girls to watch if they're planning on staying the night.

I would order a couple pizzas, have halloween cupcakes, a few bowls of chips. Get some black and orange balloons and streamers, i put out bowls of candy around with plastic spider rings and the weird sticky eyeballs mixed in, and the kids love it. haha. If you have the money to spend get a bounce house (yes even at 13) its a guaranteed success.

Host a haunted house. Then you can get everyone involved including your parents. Then you don't have to explain anything to them.
