If you want the best almost gourmet sandwiches you need only cook a beef roast and a baked chicken or turkey breast and slice it. You can't buy any lunch meat to top that or any cheaper. Cause it makes a lot. They you need some good bakery sub rolls. They had lots of different kinds like pancetta , wheat rolls, pannini bread, rye rolls just get a couple kinds. And you will need like Swiss cheese and Monterrey jack and even pepper jack, lots of shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, kosher pickle spears or slices, Kraft or Hellmans mayo, Frenches mustard or good brown mustard. Lay all that out and they can make there own.
Here is one of my roast beef that I slices and made AU jus to dip it in.

Seems like you can figure out the condiments but if you need the very best in deli meats get Boarshead brand, you cannot go wrong, my very favorite is the Londenport roast beef and the Everoast chicken

how about a portobello mushroom?
they are so juicy when grilled....mmmm
i'm not a vegetarian, but even i prefer a portobello mushroom sandwich over meat ones :P

Hello! Here are some tasty ones you might like...These are some of the most popular sandwiches from catered sandwich trays:

- Italian - Salami/Sopressata, Capicola (spicy ham), and Provolone
- Ham & Swiss
- Turkey & Swiss/Provolone
- Roast Beef & Provolone w/ horseradish-mayo, garlic-mayo, or spicy brown mustard

You can use American cheese, if you prefer. Other than the Roast Beef, any of these can be dressed with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion, salt/pepper, dried oregano, and olive oil & vinegar.

*Don't forget your veg sandwiches (unless your family is all pro-meat, but anti-delicious)!!!:

- "BMT"- Basil, Mozzarella, and Tomato w/ olive oil, salt/pepper
- Tomato and Mozz w/ lettuce, salt/pepper, dried oregano, and olive oil & vinegar
- Roasted Bell Peppers, Onions, and Zucchini/Squash w/ horseradish-mayo, hummus spread, or
spicy brown mustard (served cold)

--------------------------------------…

To make your sandwiches:

Spread mayo/mustard on both sides of the bread. Top with olive oil & vinegar and seasonings. Layer lettuce, then tomatoes, on one side. Layer meats, then cheeses, on both sides. Layer onions on one side. Fold in half; Slice and serve.

For the veggie sandwiches, layer toppings on one side of the bread; Fold, slice, and serve.

You can also let them apply their own spreads. Put the condiments and seasonings in bowls w/ spoons.

Serve with sandwich pickles (and your favorite chips or a salad) on the side, and you've got a simple sandwich lunch!
