What to serve with chicken and rice at a party?!

Question: What to serve with chicken and rice at a party?
My daughter second birthday I am serving chicken and rice with cornbread. What else besides the cake should I have. I want to keep it as low cost as possible. Her birthday is in October so maybe some fall recipes? Thanks!

This is awesome and will add color to your plate. I dice up a a three tomatoes, almost a whole package of fresh sliced up and two or three zucchinis sliced into wheels. I mix them in a bowl with some Natures Seasons seasoning. Then I shred some cheddar cheese about a cup and a half however much you think and layer it between two layers of the vegetable mixture in a baking dish w/ lid. Cook at 325 (covered)for about an 45 mins to an hour. This is my kids and family's favorite, the juices it makes is the best. Make sure you use good quality cheese though because Ive learned if you use the cheep stuff the cheese will come out clumpy.

I was supposed to say sliced up mushrooms too but I forgot to put the word mushrooms....best part of the dish.

I have an awesome recipe for an amazing sauce that you put on the rice:
2 things of chicken broth that you cook your chicken with.
Once the chicken is cooked, you add a little flour so that it thickens up.
Add 2 things of cream cheese and mix together.
It's so amazing. I had it at my boyfriend's aunt and uncle's house last Monday. Any kid will love it and will get them to eat anything with that sauce on it!
Also some corn is good :)
Sorry I don't have the exact increments or names... But I hope this helps n.n

My boyfriend's Aunt and Uncle's recipe

Okra: Chicken with rice, cornbread and fried Okra. with syrup for the cornbread and hot sauce for the Okra. What could be better than that.
When you said chicken with rice my mind went south.

Baked beans.
Potato salad.
Au Gratin potatoes.
Veggie platter.
