I was wondering would we be able to have it in the woods or do you need permission or something?!!

Find out if it government property. Go to who ever is in authority to get permission. If it is private property, go to the owner. If you own the property, it depends on how intrusive the government is in your area. If it is in an isolated area and you can't determine which it is, you could probably do it if you keep the noise down ): , clean up after yourself, and don't start a forest fire.
The land is going to belong to someone. That person has to give you permission or else you're trespassing.
