Question: Looking for a place to hold an event in central Connecticut for around 75 people. Any ideas?

I have a VERY LIMITED BUDGET, I am looking for a space, I don't need food or drinks. What I am looking for is the space and maybe tables and chairs. I am currently looking at the Elks Lodge in Westbrook Ct but feel it is too far south. The event is October 2, 2010 it will be 95% adults over 30 years old. There will be alcohol being served along side dinner. The event is a thirtieth birthday for my girlfriend and it will be the first meeting of our families. Ihad previously a space book at a friends condo facility but lost it. Any help suggestions contacts would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any local community center if you ask in advance, ( i.e. a recreational center ) can hold many guests for almost free of charge if you are a resident of that city.

Call well in advance for reserving times/tables etc.
