Really, it depends on what you and your guests like, how many people there are, and what type of party you're having. But I'm assuming it's casual and the food will be spread out on a table, so I'd go with mini sandwiches (make your own with a variety of fillings like turkey and cheese, ham and cheese, tuna or chicken salad, etc and use different types of bread), mini quiches (you can buy frozen), any home made dip and serve with pretzels, crackers, or chips. If you have a wholesale club near you, you can get huge bags of appetizers (of any kind-like mini eggrolls, pizzas, fried shrimp, etc) or you can go to almost any grocery store (Stop & Shop really has good ones) and get ready-made party platters with sandwiches, seafood, meat and cheese, chicken strips, buffalo wings, etc. (You usually need at least 2 days in advance to order). But you could get a better deal if you just made your own sandwiches. I usually fall back on a platter or pizza when I don't know what to make lol...They really aren't that expensive, most are under 30 bucks. You could make some mini sandwiches and then buy a platter or two (different kinds). For drinks, depending on if everyone is legal age, you can always have jello shots or any sort of hard liquor (I like Bacardi-they have really good flavored rum and it's not too expensive) and serve punch and soda on the side (that way if someone doesn't drink, they don't have to). If you have a big group, jello shots are probably cheaper.

anything that is made with booze!!!!! no really something that is made with some sort of wine or beer or booze so that way you have more excuse to buy something form the liquor store. IDK just get something your guests will enjoy ask them directly for suggestions and if two or three guests agree then make that.

At Parties, The Easiest thing to give out is salads, mini snacks, dips, fruit, cheeses, crackers, bread, bruchetta. It's easy to find the necessities you need. I would have chips, dips, crackers, bread, pizza, hot chips, drinks, champange etc.

I hope this answer was of help!
