Housewarming food and drink ideas?!

Question: Housewarming food and drink ideas?
I'm throwing a housewarming party on Saturday, and I think I have my menu pretty much decided, but I would like to hear other people's thoughts on good food ideas. I also want to do one signature drink, it's BYOB for the most part, I'll be having wine, beer, and non alcoholic drinks but I would also like to do one signature drink that I can make a huge batch of and have people self serve. Any thoughts?

Answers:

How about Sangria? You can make it in a punch bowl and fresh fruit floats in it which makes it look nice.

For food, at my first I had homemade lasagna and homemade cheesecake. Both a little work to put together, but then just bake for a good while. We only had about 8 people at that one though, so it depends on size, budget, and also time you have/want to spend on it..

Nibbles -

Tortilla crisps with dip, mini pastry things with melted cheese and stuff inside, crisps, cocktail sausages etc..

Food - Barbeque?

Self serve=punch. 4 bottles rose wine, 4 bottles champagne, strawberries. Done.

Sloppy Joes and brownies for dessert.

Simple yet tasty.

Mimosas are always good drinks to have. Champagne and orange juice
