Question: How do you start off a party (SHORT QUESTION)?

Whenever I host a small party everyone arrives at different times. The conversations are really awkward and staggered, plus the guests usually decline any drinks I offer. What are some things to do while other guests are arriving before the main party events start? More suggestions give you a better chance at getting best answer!

Well everyone knows you can't have a party without snack,decorations,music,games, and entertainment so make sure you have that. And when the guests arrive tell them where everything is like where the snack table is and where the dance floor is and also offer them stuff that you may know they like,like if they like oranges offer them some orange soda or if they like grape offer some crush grape.. Try to include a disco ball that always helps make dancing more fun! It's better when they arrive but at some point in the party give everyone treat bags with candy,money, and anything else you could think of. Try to talk about fun things like

-music
-television
-the internet
-new movies that are coming out
-home improvement
-celebrities
-Interesting things that are going on in your life
-interesting things that will be going on in your life
-their life and interest
-parties that they might be having
-their kids

just anything that you will find interesting and try to keep the guests entertained, hope i helped:)
