oh darling!!!! what a wonderful idea. well from Victorian woman allow me to indulge you. tea! is a must, an absolute must, with black tea cups.and if you are old enough absinthe is a wonderful gothic/ victorian drink. tarts and lemon bars with black and red food coloring. the problem with victorian dinners is that there have to be 3 courses or more. no less or else it is considered very low class, even now. the first course is soup. any kind of soup.
for the second course you can pick from these, broiled salmon, turbot in lobster sauce, filet de soles red mullet, lobster rissoles, canards a la rovernaise, or spring chicken with butter and basil.
the third course, roast duck, or mayonnaise of chicken, shepherds pie.
desert.... anything with sugar..and fruit.

happy to be of help.

Depends on if its casual or formal.. if it were formal, I'd love to do a fancy dinner set up with candles and all that jazz some like 5 course meal or something like that all like served with butler ahaha.. That would be cool, and have fun with it like dancing after or before the dinner.. if its casual just something like the above but cheaper maybe? By the way, I'd love to go to the party, would be awesome, something different ^^ Good luck and have fun! :)

Lamb shank would be nice, because it's a big hunk of meat on a bone, you can just hold it by the bone and eat like savages. Huge pile of mashed potato's seems appropriate. If you need a recipe for braised lamb shank email me.
