Coed baby shower dinner ideas help!?!

Question: Coed baby shower dinner ideas help!?
In December. It will be cold outside so can't do the grill. Need help! There will be lots of people, so I need some great ideas!

Answers:

You could do a "potluck" style shower where everyone brings a dish to pass, but that may seem tacky since guests are already bringing a gift. You could do pizza, salads and wings. Everyone loves pizza and guys love wings! Or you could always check into local catering companies, usually catering companies have a variety of packages that you can choose from ranging from fancy plated meals, family style, buffet, lunch, brunch or dinner and appetizers. If you can't find a catering company that will work in your budget, try calling local restaurants and see if they will give you a deal if you order, say for example enough broasted chicken for X amount of people.

You could get three different crockpots and make one with beef, chicken and then the last one with pork.

Then have all kinds of toppings for tacos, burritos and nachos:

Shredded Cheese
Guacamole
Sour Cream
Black Olives
Chili
Chilis
Nacho Sauce
Salsa
Chopped lettuce, tomatoes, onions
Etc. etc. etc.

And then some sides of spanish rice and refried beans. And making salsa is really easy. You could do different types of salsa: regular, mango, corn, etc. and have a nice salsa bar.

Really easy to prepare a head of time and your guests then get to custom make their own meal with what they enjoy with those items.

And you could make a green salad.

And if you are doing alcohol and want to control the cost of that, you can make a red wine sangria which is made with just the red wine and cut up citrus fruit. Then you could get different Mexican import beers (Douxxes, Pacifica, Cornona). And you you're feeling rich, you can do Margaritas or tequila shot bar.

Good luck.

I agree with the potluck. You can provide the main dish like a meat dish and have everyone else bring a side and dessert and drinks.
