Question: What size cake should I get for 4 adults and 8 kids?

My daughter is having a birthday party with 8 of her closest friends on Saturday and I am confused as to how big of a cake I might need and also how many pizzas. This is the first real birthday party I have planned for my daughter who is going to be 8 on the 7th. Other years, just a bbq with a few friends and family. Nothing big.

Answers:

Quarter sheet cake should be plenty, (15-20 pcs) unless you really like cake, then make is a half sheet cake. Pizza, generally you would want 2-3 pieces per adult and 1-2 per child.

haha well trust me kids love cake a lot! and most likely ask for seconds...I'd suggest getting a cake that makes at least 24-26 pieces...and for the pizza 3 at the most. Yet again you could just get 2 and cut the pieces smaller (cut 1 piece in half) instead of 8 pieces you would have 16 small slices on each pizza.
