sweet 16 party ideas affordable fun ?!

Question: Sweet 16 party ideas affordable fun ?
my sweet 16 is december 16th (:D) and i want to do something really fun, like just a big room with food and dancing and a basic theme, but nothing overbearing.
however, i have some friends that i love to bits, but they arent allowed to listen to electronic or rock music because of religion or something.
so i cant have say, a rave or a 'rock-and-roll' party, which i really wanted to.
i will prolly still play the music i want, just not so obvious (like not putting it on the invitation)
so any good ideas that arent offensive, i guess, in some way would be mucho appreciated.
i want to invite around 75 guests
i dont want a specific sit-down-dinner or anything, just kind of food out there if people want it, so no dinner party ideas please
thanks!!

Can they listen to "oldies" rock, the innocent stuff from the 50's? you could do a retro 1950's theme party, the clothes from back then look awesome now! Or, if you still want the more contemporary sound, you can get karaokeracks that have the music, but without the potentially offensive lyrics. Fun jazz music could also get people dancing. It's nice that you are so considerate to choose music according to your friends needs, most people wouldn't even care. I'm not a fan myself, but I think there are "Christian" tunes that sound almost like rock, if you don't listen too closely, lol. Maybe just choose your music carefully, don't include anything with swearing or suggestive lyrics, there's lots of fun music out there that they should be able to listen to. Hope it turns out for you :)

do a finger buffet nuggets and dip and you can also have some curry and rice bring plastic plates and heat it up in a micro-wave you could do the theme that their all allowed to do 1920 flapper or country or a famous people theme
