since hair color and eye color don't affect intelligence nor personality, why are people so obsessed with them?!

We're not.
Vanity! People cannot physically see personality and intelligence with their eyes, and many people consider appearance, and what the eye can see, much more important than any inner qualities. Take a look at the ladies of Orange County for example. Not a braincell to rub together between them. They all look the same! Fake orange skin (the place name is quite apt really lol) frazzled bleached hair, fake nails, fake boobs etc... :-)
Learned behavior, from family and peers.
No one is except you.
