Answers:

It looks pretty good to me. The only thing i would say its missing is a heat matt, these are used during the "night" so he has somewhere to lay on if he's cold or what not. But apart from that I'd say go for it, it looks perfect.

I had an Australian Giant Bearded Dragon, unfortunalty i had to have it put down as it got cancer.

In my opinion starter kits are a little over rated i would just go to petco or your local petstore and buy a 20 galled tank if it is a baby or a 40 gallon breeder tank if it is a adult beardie then you will need a uvb light which can come in compact bulbs or fluorescent bulbs. And also you will need a basking light that puts off heat for the beardie, And if the tank gets to cold at night you can either buy a heat emitter at your local petstore or a heat mat for under the tank, Now for the substrate you can use non-adhesive shelf liner pet carpet or paper towels and news paper (Do NOT use sand for inside the cage that can cause impaction and kill your beardie).
