Answers: Ok, so you want to make this a fun party...alright...first, the Setting. The setting of the party has to be some where that your cousin's friends will enjoy! A perfect place would be the pools, the park, or in the living room...to make the living room look atractive, clean it up, buy little center pieces that drag people's attention...be creative. Next, your cousin's friends will want to hang arround...you can buy bean bags and stuff so they can sit in, or so they can just play with them. They would also like to be dancing...not just standing there! So, get some very cool music...not country...and not the boring stuff!!! Snacks!!! Snacks are a must. You can put out in a table several snacks...like little sandwiches, candy, etc, etc, etc. What will make the party table look good would be a center piece...a fountain...pouring fruit punch out of it! The decoration is something important too...maybe some ballons with oxygen in them. again, be creative. One last thing...GAMES! Spin the bottle maybe? or some other fun game! Well, this is all I could think of and I hope that these tips help! And I hope that your cousin has a wonderful Birthday Party!!! HAVE FUN!!!:) Okay. First dress up in rented or old trift store prom dresses. (sold at most thrift stores for like 4 bucks) Get your parents to make a list of scavenger hunt items at walmart or target. (1. Create an outfit for a 10 year old girl 2. Get items for dinner party ect.) Your friends will be running around with buggies like mad people. It is SO fun. The people who work there will even help you. It's great. Youll look rediculous wearing elegant dresses running with a list and a buggie. But youll be having a great time.! try to wear suite with tie, sneakers and bring your socks. I think oyu should have like a formal dinner party thing. Then yall eat "formally" and then you have them get in the lviing room and have a dance party!! I really don't know sure u will think of something
Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!! have a crazy theme.. mine was a yellow party and i had a blast! tell everyone elegent party with swim suits so dress up the swim suit then , have a water baloon fight hugs one with tons and tons and tons of water ballons toss out a huge tar and have it all occure on the tarp and have water running in the air and slides to run on and side and if you can have a pool up kids remember hugs fun and laughs more than anything else
tell everyone to be creative with their dressed up swim wear
girls can wear a sarong over the bottems with head dress sort of like togo style the boys can get vests ect and all can set down to a nice dinner of not just pizza but stromboli maybe,,,this way you get the best of all worlds and make sure someone takes pictures !!!!!! look at the link it has the sarong they are so pretty If you are going for elegant I would suggest a Black/White theme for attire and decorations.

This is fairly inexpensive also.
Everyone dresses semi-formal in black and white.
The invitations are black and white.
White tables clothes. Crystal or the clear plastic ware would work, depending on your price limit. White Candles would be good too.

I would try to make the food something that I know the kids will eat. If it is buffet you could have finger foods such as cheese ball, cut sandwiches, fruit, birthday cake of course, but make the cake in a classic design, maybe all white--even the cake decorations in white. Serve everything on crystal or silver. A chocolate fountain would be a nice touch also with strawberries, marshmellows and so forth on skewers to dip.

If it is more of a sit down dinner then maybe Grilled chicken or hamburger steak with potatoes and a green vegetable or salad and rolls. A plain white birthday cake decorated with strawberries would be a nice touch.
These are foods most teenagers would eat. The potatoes could be baked, or a potato casserole with cheese. The veggie could be broccoli or green beans.

A two hour party won't allow alot of extra time for entertainment.
One party game is to pin the name of a famous person on each person's back. The person can only ask yes/no questions to guess who their person is. It is nice to choose a famous person with interests of the guest. Such as a basketball player for a guy who plays. This isn't exactly "elegant", but, these are 13 year olds! and when they are dressed nice, it is hard to have traditional party games

If you have extra time board games would work. Teen trivia games are good.

Music in the background would be nice also. Not necessarily rap or hard rock, something they like, but, a little slower beat! maybe do a costume party if its not little kidesh or do something like musical chairs of if your willing to pay you could rent a bounce house. Hope these help! if your cousin likes hollywood, arrange some award ceremony which is both elegant and interesting to kids..decorate the hall or wateve' like some hollywood ceremony.. tell them wear maxies, texudo versace n studff like that, arrange a mini red carpet...also arrange an award ceremony but before that play some games where they can tell jokes, pretend to be some character from movies, also mimic somone...make some embellished cards on which you write the names of the award winner..make them win the award through voting..these catagories can be "the best outfit" the worst outfit" the best joke" the worst speech" just anything... after all of that, arrange some games n give them gifts like movie posters, movie tickets or anything that you can afford...make a kid hollywood meal. pizza bread sticks, rocky roads, kids trail mix and just naything you can easily make.. Go summing have a pool party. I think a scavenger hunt is just what these girls need. Put together a list of things that are common and uncommon to find in a mall or neighborhood and pair them off in groups of two with a time limit. The laughter and stories will follow! The prize could be something as simple as picking the movie or have one special goody bag for the winners. Have a happy Birthday Party! Have chef's competition, divided the girl into even teams and give the girls the same food ingredients. I would use hot dogs, buns, and allot of different condiments but they can't use regular ketchup, mustard, relish etc. They have to use irregular ingredients like salsa, sour cream, sprinkle cheese, tortilla strips, spaghetti sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. Get some pretty weird stuff no one has tried. Who ever makes the most tasty hot dog dish and uses the most ingredients team wins and gets a prize. The rule to winning is the most creative, most ingredients, and most tasty, they can use more then one hot dog and bun. Give about four hot dogs and buns per team and allot of different condiments. You can use this as a game and food for them if you want, I choose hot dogs because they are inexpensive and you can buy allot. Actually you can use any food you like, it's just an idea. well i would say have some fancy food and not pizza maybe like some hand breaded chicken or some pasta...and have some music, and maybe you could have a grill out or something... I'd say possibly stay away from games. They can get really boring. or there's this one, that might sound fun:
Fill a bunch of balloons with flour. Put shaving cream in the ballons, the first person to shave 2 ballons, without them popping receives a prize.

Or how about having it at a pool?
Having a Chicken Fight is always fun, but usually the lifeguards get mad. Or, if you have it at a beach, I don't think you could get in trouble.

What I did for my birthday party last year, was we made caramel apples! :D We got some apples, they weren't regular sized-they were medium, then we got sticks to put in them. We cooked some caramels, and dipped the apples into them.

There are lots of different things that you can do.

I hope I helped. :D GOOD LUCK.

One more thing: DON'T HAVE A THEME, LIKE PIRATES, OR FLOWERS. HAVE A COLOR THEME. LIKE BLACK AND PINK, OR SOMETHING.
