I need suggestions for decorations for an adult Cajun/Zydeco but not Mardi Gras, party.?!

Question:

I need suggestions for decorations for an adult Cajun/Zydeco but not Mardi Gras, party.?

We're having a zydeco band, a jambalaya cooking contest, but I am struggling on the decor. Budget is small. Thank you.

Answers: you might pick up some of the subtile parts of the mardi gras themes i sent a center piece that could be used any time ,

hot peppers seem to be the jgeneral idea
so you could go with deep red table cloths with small tray boat shaped with all kinds of hot peppers in it and a tall vase with some tall draping mossy type stuff in it you can get it off the side of the road somewhere, black /white with hints of red dishes, and musical notes paper napkins in black,,color ,,fire if you look at the links the one has many links to pop open their is lots of colors and fire ,,and hot peppers,,,so maybe a fire pot as long as it would be safe to set up somewhere or a fire pit in the center add splashes of orange and yellow maybe in a table liner down the center this can be paper ,,cut it weavy and into lay it down the center of the table ,,,use bottles of peppers and hot sauses to decorate with then they can eat it too ,,not many just a few on each table some boxes in different colors to add hight to things like sauses Source(s):

http://rochesterzydeco.com/ for an adult party

you will need a large cake with a stripper inside it Hang old washboards up on the walls and sets of spoons so that when you start playing the cool zydeco music, everyone can chime in on the rhythm section. go to a dollar store and get some streamers, candles, and maybe some fun plastic toys of alligators, crabs, etc

not really sure of the theme but when I typed it into google..some stuff popped up:)

http://www.google.com/search?tab=iw&hl=e... You could have a mexican like party where your friends could have margerittas, you could where sumbraroes. salsa and nachoe (sp?) chips are really inexpensive. Just a decorate with bright colors and mabye a mexican rug. Lots of bright colored flowers even. The sorces i listed are really good places to check out if your interested in a mexican themed party.
