Ideas for a luau at night??? HELP!!?
im 13. im having a pool party with about 25 people. i wanted to have it at night. my dad suggested having a luau and having tiki torches. any games/decorations?? HELP!

See if your local florist carries inexpensively-priced orchids (now available in most big flower markets), or ask about tropical flowers such as Bird of Paradise, Hybiscus, Red Anthurium, or Red Ginger flowers.
Surf boards (borrow one from a surfer friend, or create one from inexpensive styrofoam board)
Palm fronds (Tip: you can also make your own palm trees by cutting out palm fronds from green construction paper, then gluing or taping them to cardboard tubes.)
Pineapples and coconuts

Hula Hoop Contest
Award prizes for the person who can hula the longest, and for the person who can successfully hula the most hoops. (Tip: make inexpensive hula skirts from green drawstring trash bags. Cut the bottom off, then make thin slits to create the hula grass skirt. The draw strings allows for one-size-fits-all.)
Pineapple Bowling
So silly it gives adults and kids the giggles as they bowl with coconuts to knock down pineapple "pins". Awards to the party-goer with the best aim.
Limbo Contest
How low can you go?
The Big Kahuna
The award goes to the party animal who arrives with the most colorful Hawaiian shirt.
Rubber Duck Race
Using only their noses, players nudge a rubber duck from one end of the pool to the other.
Fun Floating
Race the clock to see which team can gather the most floating objects
from the pool; rubber ducks, bath toys, cut foam noodle pieces etc.
Ice Cube Race
Dived into pairs. One player will retrieve ice cubes out of the pool using only your feet and pass them to their team mate who is outside of the pool.

Decorations are easy. I'm 14 and always watch Super Sweet 16 not that yours would be so huge just watch for inspiration and ideas We just had a laua for my friends daughters 14th b-day party and this is what we did oriental space online has all the decorations we did tiki torches and then instead of chairs we also sat out beach towels and we made all finger foods and we bought lays and grass skirts and we had everyone come dressed to go to a luaua we also had a bbq pit fire and we played musical beach towels same as chairs but with towels and we also did hot potato but we used a cocnut there are tons of things you can do. Happy b-day well look that's sounds cool i had a luau to and it was ok, many of my friends didn't come, but yeah you should try to go to Party City which they have a whole section of luau decorations, and just yahoo it , just type: party ides for a luau. limbo
