Quick! I need a birthday cake by next thursday and was going to order a personalised one from marks and spencer but just read they need 7 days! Dont want a run of the mill one want to put their name on it! Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK that does them in less than 7 days?

where did you get the sugar letters from? Buy a nice cake from m&s and buy icing sugar letter to create a message on it. I did this for my daughter christening and bought a small 'forever friends' bear to place on the cake and it looked great. greggs

if you ask nicely they may throw in a few free pasties u can always bribe the baker to get it done in under 7days. lol it's worked for me. Asda and tescos Try a cake decorating supply shop. They will often have references to their frequent freelance decorator buyers. try gregg try this link:

hope this helps xxxxx Buy a bakery cake and ask the baker to put a message on it. depends where you live,but maybe look thru phone directory for a small cake decorating place.my friend uses those places Tesco's does a selection of plain and novelty cakes are a good price. Asda do a personalised cake with a photo - very groovy! No reason they couldn't do a name as well. Not sure how long it takes though - probably nowhere near 7 days. Phone your local store. If you know anyone with a Cosco card and there is a store in your area, they will do a cake in 2 days with personalised decoration. They are big cakes, cheap and good. i wouldn't know i always make my own - why not give it a try
