Whats better, cupcakes or cookies for 10 to 16 year olds?!

Question:

Whats better, cupcakes or cookies for 10 to 16 year olds?

As a surprise for our son turning 15, who will be at a university baseball camp on his birthday, we want to have either cupcakes or cookies sent to him (enough for all campers and the staff). They would have white frosting with red frosting seams so they look like baseballs. Cupcakes cost about 100 and cookies cost about 60. Which would be more appreciated?

Major Duh!!! I've already contacted 2 local bakers that can do either so thanks for nothing! They deliver for free! cupcakes! I would go with the cookies I think cupcakes seem a little girly. Cookies are easier to deliver, and they store longer. I am a big fan of cupcakes myself. They are easy to eat, have a wrapper on them so they are somewhat sanitary. Only thing is, you would have to get some non-chocolate cupcakes incase anyone has food allergies. The cookies sound like fun too, but I think the cupcakes would be the bigger hit. cupcakes Cookies would be the best way to go.Alot easier to send and to eat also. cookies will probably be less messy. Cookies! I sent some to my husband at his office as a surprise and he loved them. cookies You ever shipped cupcakes?

If they can be delivered by the bakery rather than mailed, UPS-ed, etc., they might be in great shape on arrival, but otherwise, they won't be. It's pretty much impossible to pack a frosted cupcake in a way that truly protects it if the box is handled roughly by humans or machines, which it will be no matter how large the words "FRAGILE" and "PERISHABLE" are written on the box.

However, they do seem more birthday-like than even the most delicious cookies. Don't forget to have the bakery toss in one birthday candle! instead of asking us should you not ask this question to your son it is his birthday and he is away at camp with his friends and 15 is an age that is awkward for kids yea i think you should talk to your son you don't want to embarrass him do you cupcakes are always a winner with kids --
more fun, more birthday related ,like the previous person said --some people are allergic to chocolate so maybe do half vanilla -half chocolate Personally-I am a huge cupcake fan. I like the cupcakes b/c it's more like "birthday cake" Obviously, you want to keep it a surprise, but do you know if your son has a preference? Cupcakes seem more like a "birthday" items, but cookies would be easier. . . .If you don't think he has a preference, I would do the cookies. Save yourself a bit of money, and it's less messy for kids to be eating. Plus everyone likes cookies, and some people may have allergies, or not like cake as much (from what I've noticed anyhow, of years of working at a bake shop). It is a birthday... cupcakes darlin'

Cookies are a great snack but not representative of B-Day cake

HOTTTTTTT dog Go with whichever your son likes best. If he likes cupcakes better go with those, if he likes cookies then go for cookies. After all, it is for his birthday. Good for you for still wanting to surprise him and going the extra mile! He is a lucky kid!! I think cookies would be good, but maybe you should ask him or someone who knows what he likes, like a friend
