I'm throwing a party for my friend's 25th birthday. I'm very poor, and need some cheap and fun ideas
Answers: Can we say Pot-Luck? You provide the venue (probably your home) and maybe the main dish, and have all the guests bring the rest of the food and drinks! For a 25th birthday decorations can be minimal - just some theme plates, napkins and cups and maybe a game or two - like trivia (The Scene-It Games are great and they have a party play option, so the questions just keep coming and everyone can just yell out answers). It's what I did for a friend's 24th birthday and she loved it! what about picking a theme for the party, and all decorations, food and drink to follow the theme.
This will make you stick to a budget and not think you have to buy everything coz you just get stuff for that theme.
Have a pink party- pink food/drink everyone must wear pink.

Beach theme- all summer food,drinks cocktails all dress in beach wear.
super heroes etc I think a theme is the best way to go. How about a summer BBQ? Hamburgers & Hotdogs are cheap and easy, add the traditional sides and you're set for food. A few drinking games, or some impromtu wiffle-ball should take care of the entertainment.
Or maybe a Fiesta? Margaritas, a taco bar (cheap, easy and filling), etc. Make a bit pot of Spaghetti and a few bottles of good cheap wine and invite her best friends over for a dinner party.
You can start off by remembering things abouther that were funny, or the most embarrising thing shes ever done to you.. that starts everyone laughing and your friend will feel special. Grilling, burgers, beer, watching sports.
