Romantic Dinner?!! Any ideas please?!
Romantic Dinner?!! Any ideas please?
My girlfriend is coming home from a one-week trip on Tuesday and I want to make her a nice romantic dinner for when she comes back. Does any one have any recipe suggestions or things I could do that she would like?
P.S. She doesn't like olives or full tomatoes
and we've only been together for about a month
With this in mind can anyone please help?
Any help is much appreciated :)
Answers: Tri-color pasta with sauteed chicken in garlic and olive oil. Garlic bread. Ice cream.
BTW - one word of advice. If/when you do this you will set the bar for the next thing you are expected to do. By being romantic now this early in the relationship you have doomed yourself to a life of catering to her every whim...... <sigh> Source(s):
I was young and foolish once Well for starters, what are her favorite foods? Spaghetti, salad, even maybe steak? For desert though you should go for something that you both can eat together. Like a chocolate with raspberries, but you have to think about what your girlfriend woule personally like. Go to epicurious.com (I have no affiliation) and check out recipes there. Also, I have made in the past a personalized menu. Three courses (appetizer (with Champagne), main (Red) and dessert (sweet stuff like Sauternes or late harvest Rieslings... Try Bonnie Doon Vin de Glacier) Pair with wines if she is into this otherwise just the Champagne. Make sure she isn't too tired to appreciate the effort... Really depends on what she likes. My boyfriend would like steak and potatos where I would like pasta. So, maybe make something easy like baked ziti:
Boil Ziti noodles until done (how you like them)
Drain water and then put noodles in a baking dish
Mix in as much pasta sauce as you like and put motzerella cheese on the top (as much as you like)
Cover with foil and bake on 350 degrees until the cheese is melted (30-45 minutes)
In the last 10 minutes you could add some garlic bread in the oven
You could make an anipasto salad to go with it too! Lettuce, pepperoni, salami, ham, motz cheese, onion, bannana peppers, any other toppings you like.
Drinks you could make italian bellinis Cook whatever your specialty is...they key is in the dessert!! always go with chocolate...try Chocolate fondue..perhaps purchase a fondue maker..could be lots of fun. You really can't go wrong because she is gonna love that you put the thought and effort into making her dinner! You could try shrimp and pasta or chicken and rice. If you don't feel like trying something new, add something special to a dish that you know you won't mess up. Instead of just broiling or grilling steak and serving it with steak sauce, make a champaigne sauce instead. Instead of white rice, use jasmine rice. Switch out sweet potatoes for white potatoes. Don't worry about it, just relax, and you'll do fine! Good luck! :) fondue cheese or chocolate are nice. also recommended some fresh fruits (berries, apricots, bananas) for feeding each other. Anything you do is going to be a hit because you were thoughtful enough to do it. IT's the thought that counts. Why don't you just get the barbeque grill out and make some great burgers with all the fixins- BUT, for dessert you surprise her with a cake you made all by yourself. Make sure you decorate it with WELCOME HOME! That's a nice touch!!!!!
It's summertime and a perfect time to fix up your patio, put some fresh flowers on the patio table with some bright colored place mats, patio lights, ice cold beer, etc. Tropical music in the background, a fancy summer time drink- maybe some margaritas or Blue Hawaii's
