I am making burritos tonight-what ingredients should I get at the store?!

Question:

I am making burritos tonight-what ingredients should I get at the store?

Does anyone have a receipe for spices that I should use in the meat? Please don′t tell me to buy a convienient package-I live in Germany, and these are really hard to get.

Also, I need a list of other things, besides olives, onions, and avacado, that needs to go into burritos-oh, tomatoes too.

Answers: First you want to season and brown your meat I suggest 1 pound of any ground beef.
Place your meat in a hot skillet 1/2 finely chopped onion 3 cloves minced garlic salt and pepper for flavor immediately. In a separate bowl for you spice mixture add 1/4 cup of chili powder 1/4 teaspoon cumin.
When meat is lightly brown add spice mixture in skillet and make sure all the meat is seasoned.
If you have access to a salsa, any salsa will do preferably one that you like, add your salsa to your meat and mix. This will give you a lite sauce type flavor. Add as much or as little as you want depending on your flavor. Or if you want you can just dice some tomatoes and some regional peppers and add to your meat in the end. Those are two final adding options for the end result of your meat. Next for your actual burrito any type of tortilla will do, first you place your meat and whatever other items you like, in the tortilla and roll. Finally you also have two options for your burrito. When you have made 5 or 6 place them on a sheet pan and put them in your oven for about 7 to 10 minutes at 325 degrees. This will cook your tortilla and hold your burrito together. Your second option is fry them in hot oil and make a chimichanga. A chimichanga is just a fried burrito. You also want to have some fresh guacmole and sour cream, some shredded lettuce, tomatoes and some salsa on the side. Good Luck Source(s):
Grandma's recipe 80 yr's old San Antonio, TX How's Germany? Anyway I live in Texas and there is this place around the corner that serves the kraziest burritos but they're fantastic. It all starts with a "burrito sized" tortilla, which is about 3 to 4 times the size of a regular tortilla. You are gonna fill said tortilla with fajita meat or carne asada, Spanish style rice, re fried beans, Monterrey jack cheese or Oaxaca cheese or both. This place puts the lettuce an tomato inside but it might be a better idea to let each person decide if they want. I like it if the heat is in the burrito, all burritos should have at least a little. I like my food like I like my women, spicy. So you might want to have some salsa or pico de gallo on hand for any chili heads that might be at the gathering. Guacamole is a must for some. I like it sometimes so I would have it standing by with the sour cream and onions. I feel like I am forgetting something. Two suggestions, fajita meat is always a safe bet but chicken fajitas are also an option. And if you have time it would be a good idea to press the burritos like a Cuban sandwich. Well, I am very much allergic to avacado .. so can't go there! LOL ... But, that aside I would add soft starchy beans (like in refried, kidney type beans not green beans), cheese and so far as spices .. keep it simple. Chili of some sort, whether its in a dried spice (can go more) ... or in the actually chili .. go very carefully and lightly. I don't really think you need much more in spice than that.
