Thanks for all the great answers so far! I just remembered, we also have white and brown rice. Make creamy chicken and broccolli casserole, with home-made cheese sauce:

Pre-cook the chicken, saute with onions and season with salt and pepper. When the breasts are cooked through, cool and cut into bite-sized pieces.

Make a rue in the pan you cooked the chicken in (melt 3-4 tbl butter in pan on med heat, whisk in 3-4 tbl flour, continue whisking and cook until flour is golden brown). When rue is ready, wisk in 3 cups of milk OR chicken stock, keep whisking and heat until thickened. Add salt, pepper, garlic, seasonings, and 2-3 cups of shredded cheese. Add cooked chicken, turn off heat and cover.

Preheat your oven to 350.

Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions. Add washed, cut broccolli florettes for the final minute of cooking, drain and add to cheese sauce/chicken transfer to casserole.
OR
Since you have rice, you could skip the pasta-cooking, mix 1.5 cups of uncooked rice, uncooked broccolli, and 2.5 cups chicken stock with the cheese/chicken mixture transfer to casserole, cover tightly with foil and bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.

Then (for rice or pasta)
Top with addtional cheese or with cornflake topping (crushed cornflakes mixed with melted butter and parmesan cheese). Bake for additional 15 minutes, or long enough for cheese to melt or cornflake topping to slightly brown. Could also be broiled briefly at low temp (400) to brown the top.

You could also use more veggies in this if you like, or serve with a simple salad, or with garlic bread.

Enjoy have homade chicken with a side of shrimp and cut beutifly into thin slices italian sausage and have broclie and chease just melt the cheese and put the cooked broclie in side the chease Well if you're in the U.S. it's the night before a big holiday so personally there is no cooking for me, we'll order in. Ahhhh

but if cook you must, I would dice up the chicken and saute it in a skillet with olive oil and garlic (garlic salt or powder if you don't have fresh to mince), add in your veggies if you want some, if you use the broccoli cut it up fairly small so it'll cook quick. Make a pot of al dente pasta, drain and add it right to the skillet and toss and heat through. Season with whatever else you like and have a simple pasta dinner. You can put the mozzarella right on top of this also.

You can also use the shirmp but if you cook from a frozen state drain the water before adding everything else.

You can also use the sausages for the meat in this dish.

Feed each orange slices for dessert and see where that leads you. try going on foodnetwork.com im sure theres a lot of recipes there.

good luck Steak with Veggies and Garlic Cheezy Bread.

I'm not sure what kind of veggies you like but choose whatever works for you and you can also have cottage cheese or baked beans, salad anything small like that as well.

How to cook the Steak: (I prefer bbq but i'll give both ways)
I always do such a simple seasoning on my steak but ALOT of it. I start with tenderizer, salt and alot of pepper. I almost cover the steak with pepper. (it doesnt taste like it if you tenderize it the way I do. Now I take a butcher knife and pound the seasoning into the meat (don't go all the way through just make some slices in both directions. Now take all those spices that you already have on and use the knife to kinda seal the cuts up on the meat (on both sides)
now start with white hot coals and put the steak on for 7 minutes on each side. very important that its only 7 minutes on each. (this is for medium if you want a little more done just a little longer) if you do this in the oven you will take a glass casserole dish and put it under the broiler until its piping hot. Add steaks (the hot pan will sear one side of the steak) and cook again for only 7 minutes on each side under broil. Let them rest for 5 minutes before you cut into them so the juices can flow.

Cheezy Garlic Bread.
You can use any kind of bread just make this sauce to put on it before you cook it.

1 cup mayo, 1 1/2 cup shredding cheeze (any kind) 2 tsp garlic powder or salt. mix this up spead onto bread and bake until cheeze is melted (I like golden brown its perfect) you can also use fresh garlic as well. that would be awesome.

then you can always make a pasta salad using just pasta and italian dressing, add some parmesan, olives broccoli peas even.
Hope this helps you
peace INGREDIENTS
4 boneless chicken breast halves, cooked and cubed
2 cups elbow macaroni
2 cups milk
2 cups condensed cream of celery soup
1 cup cubed processed cheese
2 onions, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
In a 9x13 inch baking dish combine the chicken, macaroni, milk, soup, cheese, onions and salt and pepper to taste. Mix all together, cover dish and let sit in refrigerator overnight.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour.

Side:
INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup roast chicken drippings
1 head broccoli, cut into florets
2 cloves garlic, chopped
DIRECTIONS
After roasting a chicken, remove it from the roasting pan and place on a serving tray to rest. Leave the oven on. Pour off excess drippings from the roasting pan, leaving just enough to coat the broccoli. Toss broccoli and garlic in the drippings until coated and place in the still hot oven. Roast for 5 to 8 minutes, until tender.

Dessert
INGREDIENTS
10 egg yolks
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
3 tablespoons margarine
3 tablespoons brown sugar

DIRECTIONS
Whisk together the yolks, condensed milk, and evaporated milk; set aside. Melt margarine in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar; keep stirring until the brown sugar has dissolved, and is smooth. Evenly spread the sugar over the bottom of a pie plate, then pour in the custard. Cover with foil. (See note at bottom.)
Fill a large pot approximately 3/4 full with water and bring to a simmer on the stove. Place the pie plate over the simmering water and cook for 65 to 70 minutes, until flan has set. Remove flan from the boiling water and allow to cool for at least 30 minutes.
To serve, loosen the flan from the pie plate by running a knife around the edges; invert onto a serving plate. Serve at room temperature or cold. Grill the steaks and shrimp (turf and surf meal). Make them flavorful with your choice of seasonings. I don't know what you like so I cannot tell you what to put on the steaks and shrimp.
This is the main entree. Make a side dish of chicken-flavored rice with your chicken broth. I would sautee slices of garlic (a couple of cloves) in Olive oil till golden brown and sautee the rice till it's covered well with the garlic-flavored oil. Add the right amount of chicken broth and use the rice cooker to cook.
For the vegetables:Cook Broccoli and cheese.
Make him a nice cake for dessert, with frosting, of course! jumbalaya, use the chicken, italian sausages, and cooked shrimp (peel them if they arent peeled already and just toss them into the sauce) make a tomato sauce and depending on how much heat you like add spice accordingly.
