What is your favorite way to cook hamburgers- other than the grill?!

Question:

What is your favorite way to cook hamburgers- other than the grill?

We won't be grilling tonight but my husband would like hamburgers and I want to do something special with them. Any and all suggestions will help!

Answers: I like putting stuff inside the hamburger. Like a piece of cheddar or mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, etc. and reform the patty around it. Then when you bite in, it's all melty and yum inside! With the sun and a magnifying glass...on my sidewalk I just cook them in a frying pan with some garlic salt and pepper sprinkled on.
If I want something special it would not be hamburgers. The recipe I use for my hamburgers is the same recipe I use for my meatballs, and meatloaf, it's delicious and nutritious! I have taken burgers and cooked them on super low heat, and then put pineapple rings on them, along with some juice, and then simmered them a long time. There have been times where I've made the meat into little meatballs and done half meat/half diced pineapples. It was an accident in the kitchen one day and has been an amazing experience! :) I reccommend serving it with some angelhair pasta, or the twisty egg noodles in a garlic/olive oil or butter sauce. Happy Day! :) lol. i like to add dry onion soup and a tablespoon (or so) of worchestershire sauce. if i spelled that right its a miracle! makes them taste like meatloaf burgers. Hi, i would suggest a non stick pan preferrably a thickly coated one. On medium heat and exercise best discretion on its wellness though i would personally prefer to wait till burger or steak is juicy enough before i flip on the other side same goes for both burger and steak ..thanks. I usually grill burgers but fryed in a good heavey iron skillet is good (must be a good heavey iron skillet) But heres something thats good, you can bake em in the oven, just like a mini meat loaf, turns out really good, also works awesome for meatballs. Under the broiler.
