Why does the matchstick on the crime and investigation channel always burns backwards?!

Question:

Why does the matchstick on the crime and investigation channel always burns backwards?

Answers: I think Cre-8-ive's right. They have to start with the crime and work backwards from the clues to identify the victim and perpetrator. Never noticed that, But I think is to represent the investigation process.
Like going back in time to reconstruct the events.
