What is the best way to prepare a sweet potato?
I've tried baking but they just don't turn out the way I would like them. I want them to be soft and sweet, but so far they've only been okay.

I gave up on baking them a long time ago. My grocery store sells them individually wrapped in a plastic wrap. The instructions say to pop them in the microwave with the wrapping in tact. I was skeptical, but it really works. They turn out moist and soft! When I buy in bulk now, I just wrap them in plastic wrap and toss them in. You don't have to poke holes if they are in the wrap. My microwave has a potato button that I press twice for mine. I think each is 3 minutes, so maybe try cooking for 5 - 6 minutes. When I'm done, I put butter and cinammon on mine.
