Can you freeze zucchine? I was going to slice it up, cook it and freez it.

I have been freezing zucchini for years...I don't blanch....for zucchini bread and cakes I either shred or dice it in the appropriate mounts for the recipe. For fried zucchini, I slice and salt it, let stand in a colander and let drain for 15 minutes or so....rinse and drain again, pat dry and place in a single layer on a cookie sheet and freeze, remove and place in air tight containers or heavy freezing bags, works well for me.
