Please read and give me combination ideas???
my parents are both following a strict diet that relieves heartburn, gas, belching, cramps, headaches, acid reflux etc. the problem is that it's hard to prepare meals for them because of the ways you can and can't combine your foods.
such as the following:
don't combine fruit with any other food
don't combine protein with starches
don't combine bread with protein [better yet eliminate all bread and whole wheats]
drink only pure water with meals
and also cut back on all dairy products
does anyone have any ideas on what recipes i can fix and what i can serve as a side dish? i've been fixing a lot of salads so if you can come up with any ideas on how to 'tweak' them to add some variety that would be good too. i'll give the person who can come up with the most combinations and who spends the most time trying to help ten points... so bring on some answers :]

Why not a chicken breast or pork chop or a filet or a piece of fish with green beans or broccoli for a side. Or maybe asparagus for a side. If it's fresh and in season, that's a GREAT green side dish. It's simple, but I think that follows the guidelines (I hope I wasn't missing one). And it's not a salad, which I'm sure they'd be happy to be away from for the evening!
