How long does ginger root last?!


Question:

How long does ginger root last?

I never cooked with ginger root but just bought a piece and wonder how long it lasts and best way to store it (refridgerate or not)?


Answers:

i store mine in the refridgerator and what i usually do is cut a small piece off and get an alovera plant and some spring water blend it in the blender and drink a glass a week. Usually when it gets soft i throw mine out or when its bendable or when i start to se molding! lol
