Question:

How do you make bread bowl clam chowder soup?

i would love to no how 2make it fresh and not from a can

Answers:

Use a basic potato soup recipe.

Cook 6 pieces of bacon crisp, set aside.

Add to bacon drippings, onion, celery and simmer for about 5 minutes.

Add 5-6 potatoes sliced or chopped, whichever you prefer.

Add two cans of minced or chopped claims with the juice.

Crumble bacon in soup.

Add one carton of chicken broth, simmer for about 20 minutes.

Add 1 pint of heavy cream and stir.

Enjoy :)

Now the bread bowl.

Get a LARGE round loaf of bread. Hollow it out to make a bowl. Save all the hollow out pieces to toast for dipping in the soup. Once hollowed out butter the inside, cover the outside top with aluminum foil so it does not burn and toast it under the broiler for a second or two, this will help seal it. Before dipping the soup in the bread bowl you have prepared spread it with butter again. Add your soups and serve immediately.

It will soak up some of the soups, but if you choose a loaf that has a hard outer crust it will not seap through. Once the soup is served you can eatt he bowl too!
