How do I grill on a campsite type grate?
You know, the type of grill with the metal box on top of a pole? I know to use charcoal, but don't know how to put the meat on the surface. The grate has about 1 inch gap between the bars. This gap is too big for burgers. Do I use foil? If so, how? The grate I will be using at the park is very dirty. I'm grilling burgers for 30.

Two ways.
1) you take a clean grill top from home and place it over top.
2) get the heavy duty industrial foil and wrap it around the whole grate, then poke many small holes in the gaps for drainage and for the coal flavor to get through.
