Answers: depends on what kind of smoker you have , but almost cover the pork with , salt, both white and black pepper, garlic powder, and soak some wood chips(theyre next to the charcoal at the store), in water or get the wiskey soaked ones, or some mesquite smoke flavoring in a bottle and add that to the water, then cook forever. smoking takes alllllllll day, or overnight.I usually do it outdoors, cause you can speed up the process by increasing the heat, but smoking indoors just seems like a carbon monoxide death waiting to happen. I'm sure the "indoor" smoker had instructions, or you should try to find it on-line, but make sure your smoke alarm has a fresh battery, lol. cook it slow Instead of using an indoor smoker, which is not a good idea in my mind, I suggest browning a pork shoulder roast on the grill and then slow cooking it in the oven at 300 degrees until it is tender. How long you cook it depends on the weight of the pre-cooked meat. At our house, we do have an outdoor smoker and we smoke all meats for about 2 hours and then move it into the oven to slow cook. The secret is to get the smoke flavor into the meat and then you can use other methods to finish the cooking. Good Luck!
