Ideas for throwing a sweet 16 surprise party?!

Question:

Ideas for throwing a sweet 16 surprise party?

We want to surprise my friend for her 16th bday, but she's a very nosy person, so it'll be difficult to keep the secret from her.
The party's in a few weeks, so we don't have a lot of time.
We need to make sure she's not working and get her mom involved on it as well.
It's going to be a smaller party, under twenty people. And we don't have a lot of money to spend on it.
Also, I need to pass out the invites at school, that's the only time I see everyone, but she's there as well.

So if anyone has any tips on how to make this go smoother, please, please, share them with me!

Thank you and I appreciate it.

Thanks. Can you get people's home addresses or email addresses? You can mail the invites, so she doesn't see them.

Or if you have everyone's email address, you can use evite.com to notify every one. Then they can reply on the evite website if they're coming or not.

Oh...you can tell her you're planning a party for her. Give her info on a "fake" party, but then surprise her with the real one.

For example, my oldest daughter didn't want to have a 16th bday party. So we decided to throw her a big surprise party. Being the mom, I couldn't NOT bug her so she finally agreed on a miniture golf party of 8 with a sleepover, or so she thought. As I planned food etc for the surprise, I would ask her what she wanted. Subway sandwiches is what she picked, so we just multiplied it. We had a friend who is a Hypnotist come and do his show. It was in our townhouse rec room, so there was ping pong and pool too. Basically, whenever I talked about the "party" she thought it was the mini golf one.

Have fun! Go to Chuck E Cheese. She'll be surprised. well for passing out the invites you could go before/after school and slip it in their lockers
Have a good party! ok ... well if your getting ur mom involved you could have her pick her up earlier so you could pass out the invitations. but its likely she wont do that ... so try to give the invitations to the teachers and they pass it to the people you are inviting. I did that once ... it worked pretty nicely.
