Farewell + birthday party ideas?
We are moving from the west coast to the east coast. We want to have a farewell party plus my daughters birthday party all in one. I need suggestions on how to make this wonderful plus affordable. We are probably going to do a pot-luck type party so everyone will bring a dish bc we can not afford to feed everyone. But any other ideas?
Answers: I think it's all the personal details that really make a party great. First you need to have something to sign where guests can leave messages for your daughter and family. Maybe use a book or notecards for the family for them to sign and they can also sigh a T-shirt or pillow case for your daughter. You could send out post cards for the invitations(to go along w/ the whole moving theme.) also it might be fun so serve some traditional east coast food/treats(example philly soft pretzels, cheesesteaks, dunkin donuts) Depends where you are moving but you guys can wear hats or shirts on for your new hometown teams and serve baseball food like hotdogs popcorn and pizza to make it affordable. You can have kids write good bye notes and attach them to helium balloons and let them go outside. Post up fun pictures of you guys with your friends and family areound as decorations. or make a photo/video montage to be playing on the tv. charades or pictionery with alle ast coast subjects. Just go all out with the theme.
