Recipes for halloween party?!

Question:

Recipes for halloween party?

I am having an adult halloween party need some ideas on appetizers. I would love to do creepy and fun food but all appetizers not really candy or cake. What would you serve please help?

Answers: You could try making mini caramel apple appetizers. I know you didn't want sweets, but I'm sure a few people might like a little taste of one. Most people love caramel apples, but eating a huge one, especially at a party is hard and sometimes embarrassing!

Use a melon baller to scoop out "balls" from the apples of your choice. Place a decorative or plain skewer in each and dip in any homemade or pre-made caramel and top with more "grown up" ingredients like crushed macadamia nuts. Drizzling with chocolate will make these look fancier too. I think you could have a lot of fun getting creative with this one! there is a recipe for ghosts in the grave yard (Oops, For got to tell you that this should be frozen to look like hands floating in the punch. )For a punch, you can take some disposable gloves and fill with a green lime drink and float in the punch bowl with a red bloody looking drink. For an appetizer, you can either make miniature cheese balls and use pretzel sticks that look like spider legs sticking out and slice olives for the eyes. If you want you could also use a larger cheese ball and even bend black pipe cleaners for the legs and have it sit on a platter. You can wrap hot dogs with strips of cresent rolls so they look like mummies. Leave an opening for the face and add mustard for eyes and mouth. I have taken triscuits and broken off pieces and attached them to a pretzel stick with canned cheese to look like broom sticks. Note, I did this the day before and then put them in the fridge (Don't do that , they get soggy!) Make them the day of the party. Make a cracker dip of your own recipie and use olives on top in pairs to look like eyeballs staring at you. Take slices of a white cheese and cut into ghost shapes. Use raisins for eyes. Make a finger bowl so to speak with small pickles with a fake fingernail on the end or even do this with baby carrot sticks. Here are a few sites that I found:

http://www.recipetips.com/celebrate/hall... RECIPE INGREDIENTS:
4 boneless pork loin chops, 3/4 inch thick
2 tbsp. brown sugar
Salt and pepper
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
2 tart apples
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. chopped pecans
1. Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Brush the chops lightly with oil and cook for 5 or 6 minutes to a side until they are evenly browned. Remove and keep warm.

2. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. Core the apples and slice into 1/2 inch wedges. Add butter to the skillet and stir in the apples and brown-sugar mixture. Cover and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, just until apples are tender. Remove apples with a slotted spoon and arrange on top of chops; keep warm. Continue cooking mixture in skillet, uncovered, until sauce thickens slightly. Spoon sauce over apples and chops and sprinkle with pecans. Makes 4 servings
