Halloween Party?!

Question:

Halloween Party?

I want to plan a halloween party, complete with costumes, dancing, movie marathons, and beer pong. Anyone have any ideas as to what else I should include--such as food, drinks, activities, favors? This is a 21+ party, so please, be creative!

Answers: I would add more games, like flip-cup definitely, and any other popular drinking games. For food, I have some staples that I make for every get-together at our house, especially where drinking is involved. I usually make a dip that is a layer of cream cheese, a layer of Skyline chili, and a layer of cheddar chesse... stuck in the oven just long enough to melt the cheese. It's AWESOME with some tortilla chips! I also usually make up a spinach dip with crackers. Munchies are always good for drunk people! :-) Since it's a Halloween party, I would also suggest a pumpkin-shaped cupcake-cake. Here's an example I found: http://flickr.com/photos/9811254@n07/115...
Well, those are my ideas, hope that helped! Have lots of fun at your party! :-) i never had any exposure to halloween in my country. sorry- did want to help you though. have fun. wishing u a nice time. Don′t forget the pumpkins an the bottle "Wild Turkey". ;-)) make candy bags. I own a bar and we do a Pimp and Hooker contest every year. The best Pimp gets a prize and the best dressed hooker gets a prize. Everyone loves it and plus it gives the girls a reason to dress kind of seductive. you should have good snack food because not every one would drink like chips and dip, a spinich boal like the ones n the sour dough bread, you should have soda also just get party and snack food easy to grab and go.... keep it simple. do hot and cold munchies. stuff like pizza rolls, mini quiches and egg rolls for hot stuff and chips, pretzals and dip for cold munchies. and of course, halloween cookies and candy. you don't want to make it complicated. it's about having fun. it's not a wedding reception so it doesn't need to be fancy. and you want it to be easy to make more if you have to.

for drinks, dark red punch (with liquor of course). you could call it vampire punch.

activites... horror movie trivia or charades. maybe a scavenger hunt for halloween related items.

favors, there is a lot of things you could do. there are horror themed trading cards available and cheap plastic shot glasses you can get. maybe get dvd's for prizes if you plan on playing games. When planning a party, you really need to think about the age group and then make the decision off of there. For food, I would go with maybe cupcakes, a cake, pretzels, chips, and other foods that you think people would like. For decorations, I would go with a pumpkin, some banners, and other cool decorations. Drinks- soda, water, and any other drinks that go with the age of people who you are inviting. Remeber, pick movies that are appropiate for the party, and not movies that will freak people out of the minds. Get really creative with the costumes. Dancing is a YES!! Play some games to really get the party going. Always make sure to have extra food and drinks incase you run out. You also might want to lable what each food is so people will know what they are eating. Have fun!
-Cheergrly576 Have you ever played the tippy cup game? You have 2 lines of people- on each side of a table (this is your team..) You each put a shot of beer (or whatever) in a plastic drink cup. The first two people at the start of the lines slam their drink then turn your cup over with it half off the egde of the table. You have to use 1 finger and try and flip it so it lands right side up on the table. Once you get your cup flipped right side up, the next person can go on your side. First side that gets done wins... Pretty fun game. Also- card games are always fun- poker especially.. If you can, bon fires are always nice to have.. I think that's all i can think of for right now. Have fun- sounds like a blast!! You should do a theme party. A friend of mine does a new theme every year. Last year it was skeletons, this year it is "Hallowedding" where you and your date (or singletons!) dress like a bride/groom or brides' maids, etc. kids can dress up too! I can't wait to go! Pumpkin Bowling-Use a pumpkin to bowl and water bottles as skittles. check kraftfoods.com and bettycrocker.com and type in Halloween to search recipes. I know this is not a kid party but adults will still like the fun ideas - there are a lot of dessert ideas and some appetizer type things. Also you could make jello shots - but make them in a pan and cut out with Halloween cookie cutters for jello Jigglers - adult style. Hope you have fun!
