Answers: deeeeelish!!!!

SEVEN LAYER BARS

1/4 lb. butter, melted
1 c. crushed graham crackers
1 c. coconut
1 c. butterscotch chips
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 can sweetened condensed milk

Layer each ingredient just as they are given in a 9 x 12 inch pan. The sweetened condensed milk will have to be drizzled on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes. When cooled, cut into bars. This is my version of the 7 layer bars.

Seven Layer Bars are also called Magic Cookie Bars. You can find the recipe right on the bags of semi sweet chocolate chips or also on cans of sweetened condensed milk. Even some bags of shredded coconut have the recipe on them, as these are all ingredients. They are one of my family's favorite holiday treats. perhaps yet another type of 7 layer bar is what we call "Oh Henry Bars" around here. They are a crunchy, chewy yummy thing my Gram always made. They are great, here's my recipe:

Base:
2/3 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
4 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup corn syrup
3 teaspoons vanilla
Pinch of salt

Icing:
1 cup chocolate chips
2/3 cup peanut butter

Base:
Cream butter and sugar. Add rolled oats, syrup, vanilla and salt. Blend well. Press into a 9 by 13 inch pan.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees F. Do not overbake or it will turn rock hard.
Remove from oven and let cool.

Icing:
Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together. Spread over cooled base.
Cut into squares. Keep in the fridge.
