Sister's 12th birthday coming up next weekend that I'm hosting! Can you help me please??
She is going to have about six or seven close friends over for the day, all girls and between ages 10 to 13. We are eating homemade tacos. I want to have an ice cream birthday and I'm planning on buying over 8 different flavors of ice cream, over 22 different toppings and candies to put in the ice cream and including brownies. I made out cute little menus for the ice cream where they can either customize their own or "order" a mixture that I created. I just need more ice cream ideas, what to do about the decorations and what to do for games and what movies to watch. Help!
Answers: For movies right now the Princess Diaries are still popular as are the Cheetah Girls, High school Musical 1& 2 (have them do a sing/dance off) or you could check with your sis about her favorite movies.
For Icecream - wow 8 flavors! - you can have mini cones for girls to do a "tasting" and see how they rate first then have each girl do a recipe and have a contest - best combo wins a tierra made to look like icecream cones covered in glitter.
Honestly I agree with another poster who recommened checking out a local icecream shop for combo and topping ideas.

Aww, I don't really have too much to contribute, but I wanted to say that that is a really sweet idea! For ice cream "creations", I would just check out a Cold Stone Creamery and Baskin Robbins menu and "borrow" a few ideas.
I don't know the cool kid movies out right now, but I would definitely recommend renting only G and PG movies, so as not to make any of the parents upset.
And Twister is always a hit in the games department!
Have fun, and happy birthday to your sister! aww thats so sweet you care about her birthday so much!! play music, have them vote on a movie you have, microwave popcorn, girls are always so good at entertaining eachother anyway so it will all fold out!! i hope i helped or inspired in some way!! label the drinks like ice cream toppings and let the girls make there ice-cream it would be so much fun for the decorations, you could do all pink. there is a lot of good movies but i would ask your sister to see what she likes you could have a choclolate lover's one with everything chocolate same with other flavors you could get vanilla ice cream with red toppings and make high school musical ice cream if you want to watch that movie and you could serve Sharpay's "ice tea imported from England" it is really just blue gatorade in the movie girls are good at coming up with games themselves if they are girly girls you could have a spa type thing and buy some of those cheap packets of face masks and foot scrubs i am about 2 turn 12 so i should know
