LEAST mess? I do not want to barbecue and deal with that mess or use the oven if it means a greasy cleanup. This weekend should be all about fun and the more time spent NOT cleaning is more time enjoying the awesome room and my kids and the beach. What foods do you suggest that are affordable and don't make a huge mess? Thank you in advance for your considerate answers.

Everybody has given great answers but did you miss the LEAST MESS POSSIBLE condition? We will be staying in a luxury condo. Spilled pasta sauce everywhere would ruin me.

Everybody has given great answers but did you miss the LEAST MESS POSSIBLE condition? We will be staying in a luxury condo. Spilled pasta sauce everywhere would ruin me. Try all finger foods. Kids LOVE to graze. Carrot sticks and other veggies with ranch dressing for dipping, pretzels, fruit plates, deli meats and cheeses and breads for sandwiches, this can all be made ahead and brought out and put away easily with limited mess as well as limited cost. Make homemade pizza.

Make the dough yourself. It is very easy, then you guys can all assemble the pizza together, and eat it. How about they make their OWN dinner? Something like Tacos or pizza. You can just set out half a dozen or so fillings (or toppings ) and let them go nuts. Pigs in a blanket and they could help, wrap hot dogs and cheese in crescent roll dough and bake them. Taco Salad Bar (you make at home), Breakfast Buffet (you make at home). Make several different breakfast dishes (not a whole lot of anyone unless you know its a fav) and let the kids pick which ones they want to eat. Have like pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, toast, sausage gravy, ham, milk, oj, tea and the likes and let them build their own plate! hot dogs and chips. All kids love spaghetti bolognaise :)
