Answers: Sounds fun and will work great if you have two ovens!!! Having the dough mixed up before hand will be a huge time saver.
Lots of times exchange parties aren't exchanging recipes, but rather everyone brings say 3 dozen cookies they baked and you put them all together and everyone then picks 3 dozen to take home, but you could certainly take them to a nursing home or do a sale, etc.... that way you girls could have time for food and fun and talk instead of working so hard baking cookies. I bake 100's at the holidays and it is time consuming. Sounds like fun, but I wouldn't charge them for the trays. Maybe ask them to donate or bring those cute plastic trays (the Christmas ones at the Dollar store) and then you could donate all the cookies to local people that need them. Meals on wheels would love something like that during the holidays. Then, you buy a nice little Christmas plate (again at the dollar store) like a real plate though, for each guest and send a few home with them just for coming to help. I know our Dollar Tree gets great ceramic plates in at the holidays and if you had 15 people, that's only $15 total you buy, plus dough ingredients. You could ask them to bring the sprinkles if that would help. I've never heard of a party like this, but it sounds fun! I say turn it in to a good cause though.
