Do people still do pot luck?!

Question:

Do people still do pot luck?

been a while since I have been to one.

Answers: yes actually.
unfortunately, i regret to say, my cousin keiko died last month. my aunt decided to have a memorial service for her and make it pot luck. it sounds crazy, but i think keiko would have liked that... that was her sense of humor. Source(s):
i miss her. at my office we have a pot luck lunch once a month! it always turns out great! Yes, pot luck is still here and a lot of fun. It's not a lot of work for anyone and always a good variety of food. It's a great way to throw an informal gathering. Certainly... I am on the staff of a small school, and we have frequent pot luck dinners with parents, students and staff. My impression is that many small organizations use pot lucks for informal outings. Mostly churches, and family gatherings. absolutely and it's tons of fun! It's a great way to get a group together for no real reason and not have it be all tons of work for one person. I especially love snacks/drinks kinds of potluck where everyone brings an appetizer and something to drink and we put it all togehter and share :) I love pot lucks. At work we do it quite often. It's a great way to try different dishes that you are not use to making. I think it's a great idea also because you can try foods from all different cultures! We use to have pot luck at work. We would try to do it once a month it was a lot of fun. I was always asked to bring my home made chow mein. So would bring a large crock pot of it. What we did was pass a sheet around and people would sign up. This way we would not have 20 bags or chips. Pot luck is a fun way to get together and have a variety of foods.
