What kind of outdoor entertainment would you consider for an American Sign Language group. Some are deaf, some!

Question:

What kind of outdoor entertainment would you consider for an American Sign Language group. Some are deaf, some

are not. It will be evening with a bon-fire. I want all my friends to enjoy themselves. I'll have music but I know there will be some that won't hear it, I'd like ideas that would include them as well. Think hard please, any ideas to make a pleasant time for all????

Answers: Maybe roasting marshmallows? Making smores? You could buy that 20q electronic game and play that. The deaf can easily read the display and play along with everybody else. fireworks. telling ghost stories out loud and in sign
having sing alongs in sign and out loud
the music is a good idea also for the hearing folks but to not exclude the deaf you can try placing the chairs on a wooden platform and place the speakers on the platform also and include a lot of base when you play the music they won't hear it but the will feel it.

They used to have a radio for the deaf called the bone-phone, it was placed around the neck and made contact with base of the skull and transmitted vibrations through the bones ....you could try with a good set of headphones placed right behind the ears for the same effect.

Having deaf members in my family I can understand your desire to make sure everyone is included, but the deaf will make their own fun too, so don't worry too much. A close-up magician.
They'll be looking so closely and be absolutely amazed!
