Answers: Roasted pepper chicken:
6 boneless skinless chicken breasts coated in your favorite spicy mustard. While they're marinating preheat oven to 400F and take 2 large red bell peppers, cut in thirds and 4 whole bulbs of garlic with points cut off, and 1 tbsp olive oil, wrap in foil, roast for 45 minutes. Let peppers and garlic cool to handle then over low heat 1 tbsp olive oil in large frying or saute pan and squeeze garlic out of its skins into oil and stir till well distributed and add chicken breasts smooth side up, and raise heat to medium to medium high. Remove skin from peppers and then place them on top of the chicken, laying flat, skin side up on smooth side of chicken. turn chicken after total 7-8 minutes on each side, lowering heat slightly if needed. when you take out the chicken you can deglaze the pan with a couple tbsps white wine or chicken broth and drizzle it over the plate. You can even crumble feta or some other fancy cheese on top. Serve with fresh green beans and halved red potatoes boiled in chicken broth and parsley flakes. Pleasing to the eye and palette.

For dessert: Ice cream with blueberry sauce and sweet puff pastry
cut one sheet puff pastry into nine squares lay on cookie sheet and sprinkle with sugar or raw sugar bake according to package directions, serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream and canned blueberry pie filling or make your own syrup out of fresh or frozen blueberries and sugar heated till the sugar melts. garnish if a sprig of mint to be extra fancy. Make it something that everyone likes and make it something thats easy to do. And won't take up time. Lasagna.. Everyone loves it! "make your own" parties are fun . . . individual pizzas baked on a pizza stone on the grill, perhaps. stir fry is easy to make for a lot of people. or just tapas and sangria could be fun! You could make it a potluck dinner and have everyone bring their own specialty dish. Put out all of the different dishes and then add a veggie tray, a fruit tray, and a meat & cheese tray. This way there will be plenty of variety and you wont get stuck cooking a several course meal by yourself. let say you're inviting male friends then make it something easier. Guys normally not really care about the food but the activities that are going to do. Just say that guys love do those funny and crazy stuff, maybe console games. For girls i not so sure though cuz i'm a guy..know it better. Hope it might help ^^ Have a small theme not a dress up theme but like a color sceme or something. Say you have having lobster then go with red and white, or if you are having a bunch of salads green. Once you can get the food you can plan the theme this is really handy, because then people will be like wow that person has style! Tapas are fun. u should call your friends and ask them what they what to eat and who every comes up with the best one u know how to cook the best. every u eat u should play some games and watch some movies that everyone likes.
