Cooking for 200 people?
menu as follows sweet and sor meatballs swedish meatballs wings meat and cheese tray for sandwiches pasta salad veggie tray fruit salad how much of each should i prepare????
Answers: I would do at least 3 trays each...or more, you can always send home with people.... a lot gl think about your self and determine how much of each dish YOU would eat. Take that amount and times that by about 225 for each entre, since some people will eat more. I would make some extra wings, pasta salad, and fruit salad, those seem to be more popular than the others. You can always freeze leftovers in airtight bags and use them again of send them home with pals. If I were doing this party I would serve at a minimum of 2 of each meatball, 3 wing sections per person. Enough cold cuts, cheese and bread / buns for 1.5 sandwiches per person ( unless all male then 2 per person). I would go to a restaurant supply house such as GFS and get 2 or 3 ounce souffle cups and lids for both the fruit salad and pasta salad and prepare one per person each. As for the veggie tray I would make about 3 large trays of about 24 inch diameter. This is what I would do for an evening party that is after the dinner hour. If this is intended to be dinner then I would bump the amounts by maybe 15%. Hope this helps. Hope these links help. Hope you have help!
